Adriana Torres, artist, illustrator, and founder of Miga de Pan has studied architecture and graphic design at the University of Buenos Aires. She received the first prize in the national contest organized by the National Fund for the Arts, which is part of the Cultural National Secretary of Argentina in the "Contemporary Textile Doll Making" category.
Adriana has taught several embroidery workshops not only in Argentina but all over Spain, Paris, Berlin, London, Devon, Zürich, Ciudad de México and The United States in Boulder (Colorado) and Philadelphia (at Anthropologie and Urban Outfitters HQ). Her work was published by Thames and Hudson in “The New Artisans”, by DPI magazine and Super Handmade, amongst others. With her embroidery artworks she is currently participating in several collective art exhibitions in Buenos Aires, Paris and Leipzig.
Introduction to Dimensional Embroidery
Five intensive hours to learn five embroidery stitches used in "My Little Cat Loves to Fly" based on an illustration by Adriana. At the end of the workshop the students will receive a diagram with instructions on how to finish their works at home.
