On this course you will experiment with composition, using over-lapping layers of translucent fabrics to build areas of different colours and tones. Using a variety of media including pencil, ink, silk paint and stitch, Emily will offer individual help, so that you can explore these mediums with confidence and create your illustration.
If you would like to work to your own drawings and/or photographs please bring them along.
Students will also need to bring a sewing kit that includes: sewing thread in a variety of colours, pins, needles, sharp scissors, scissors for paper, and a pencil.
