Jessie Ford's stylised portraits avoid the sinking feeling that often accompanies snapshots. A freelance illustrator based in Brighton, her work is distinctive for its flat colours, liberating lack of detail and carefully drawn silhouettes. When not working on commissioned pieces or up a ladder painting murals, Jessie works on her children's book, to be published later this year.
