The Textile No. collection by Karin Carlander consists of textiles in different designs, that are available in specific sizes. The ‘No.’ title relates to the size of the textile, and each No. comes in a variety of designs. The design may change, but the No. stays the same. Karin uses the No. code as a neutral naming system to encourage her audience to form their own associations with her textiles i.e whether no 9 works better as a dishcloth or a Napkin. The collection is based on three simple principles: sustainability, multifunctionality and a mix-and-match design and colour palette. Selvedge readers have the chance to be the first to get their hands on the new Karin Carlander cushion cover with the Sashiko design in black, as well as one of Karin’s indigo blue totes, sewn with fabric from a sample weave, which have been made in a limited edition of 100.
