£185.00 GBP

Saturday 9 November 2019, 11-5, £185 includes a light lunch.

Hosted by Lora Avedian

Lora Avedian is a London based multidisciplinary artist, who graduated from the Royal College of Art with a Masters in Mixed Media Textiles in 2017. Lora uses traditional embroidery and embellishment techniques to make modern artefacts inspired by nature, which look as beautiful on the body as they do on a wall. She depicts elements of narrative through textile, often favouring slow processes.

Outline of the workshop:
Learn to make a 3D fabric flower stem with textile artist Lora Avedian, using simple sewing and fabric manipulation techniques used by Lora in her work. Each student will go home with one or more beautifully hand crafted flower which will last a life time. Basic hand sewing skills useful, but not necessary.
