A place for the upper echelons of 18th century society, The Assembly Rooms in Bath was home to elite soirees in its day. This was a building of opulence, where guests gathered to drink tea, play cards and to dance the night away with live music. Designed by John Wood, the building was purpose built to indulge the extravagant social lives of the upper classes.
The team behind the cult magazine Selvedge bring a curated collection of fifty merchants and makers to Bath. Our exhibitors sell a range of rare vintage fabrics, covetable haberdashery and skilfully handmade textile treasures. The fair offers the perfect opportunity to meet makers, catch up with old friends and pick up that special something.
MAKE A DAY OF IT
Relax with a cup of tea and a delicious lunch in the Assembly Rooms Café.
The Assembly Rooms are a 20 min walk from Bath Spa station. Parking: the nearest pay and display car park is in Charlotte Street. There is virtually no onstreet parking; park and ride is recommended.

Nurturing and promoting the designers and makers who inspire us is crucial to the Selvedge ethos – they are as much a part of our story as we are theirs – without them Selvedge would not exist. The Selvedge Fairs are not only for the designers and makers behind the things we love, they are for the Selvedge readers and community. A literal meeting point for conversation, appreciation and of course the joys of acquiring your very own collection of beautifully made wares.
Fairs cost £295+VAT and this includes a 2m X 1m space. (Tables and tablecloths are available if requested and carry and additional fee) All our fairs are open to the public from 11am-5pm.
