Behind Selvedge is a small team dedicated to the appreciation of the beautifully made and carefully considered.
Each with a background in textiles, fine art or design, the valuing and nurturing of textiles is second nature to everyone working at Selvedge. The core team of five (who all began their Selvedge careers as interns) work together on every aspect of the Selvedge story, from the very big to the very small.
As an independent publication we have complete freedom to support and work with the makers and designers that really matter to us. We see this as a crucial element in making our six magazines a year, events and shop truly our own.
Founder of Selvedge Magazine
Thirteen years on my obsession with textiles is stronger than ever having branched out from the print magazine to our own shop and events program. I love meeting and talking to makers, subscribers and customers about our shared passion. If you are visiting London do drop by the shop and meet my wonderful team. We would love to say hello.
Head of Communications
I joined Selvedge as an intern during the final year of my textile degree and after graduation I found myself back again. Six years later – after sitting at most of the desks in the office – I now look after the partnerships, advertising and marketing.
How can I help? I look after the editorial of the magazine; commissioning and editing material for print, updating our daily blog and keeping the Selvedge tone consistent across all channels. Please do not hesitate to get in touch with any editorial enquiries.
I came to Selvedge as an intern after a degree in Fine Art at Oxford University. Today I look after the editorial for the magazine; commissioning and editing material for print, managing our daily blog and keeping the Selvedge tone consistent across all channels.
I studied woven textiles at Brighton University. Since interning at Selvedge I have taken on the role of Events Director which involves sourcing and working with talented designers and makers on fairs and events that reflect the Selvedge ethos.
I interned at Selvedge during my university holiday, I then began full-time at Selvedge fresh from my textiles degree at Cardiff Metropolitan University in 2014. I look after customers - any questions, I am your first port of call.

I promote Selvedge Magazine to independent bookshops, galleries, museums, arts & craft stores. I make sure the latest issue travels from the printing press to a range of stores across the globe, whether it's a family owned micromill in Cape Town or the biggest bookstore in New York City.
