Clamp dye scarf. Done in vivid colours these scarves show a range of fold techniques and expressive abstract designs.
Clamp dye technique, also famous as Itajime in Japan, is another of the traditional dye techniques done in Kutch till 1980’s, to make sarongs. We began to use this technique in 2004. And experimented with many ways to fold and resist the fabric in the dye bath.
