Dariya Cashmere Shawl by Kashmir Loom (INDIA)
The Dariya is woven on the tradition wooden Looms in Kashmir in artisan homes. While the diamond weave pattern is very traditional, the design and the combination of pashmina with fine metallic threads is a contemporary innovation by Kashmir Loom. Founder Jenny Housego came laden with these shimmery metallic threads about 18 years ago and worked tirelessly to create our classic dorukha metallic weave. Ends are finished with a natural fringe. The metallized thread used in this shawl is specially made so it can retain its softness and does not tarnish. The fibre in this Shawl is the finest cashmere from the Changra goat, which lives in Ladakh in India. The fibre is hand woven in Kashmir into this beautiful scarf.
Each piece bears the Kashmir Loom Signature in pharsi language, embroidered in the corner. A mark of our quality.
