Originally from the North East, I have made my way down to London via Cambridge – where I went to university and lived for several years. Always excited to explore new art forms and techniques, I taught myself to sew at the age of seventeen, and haven't looked back since. Now, I make my own clothes and am interested in sewing as part of the personal action I can undertake to limit my impact on the environment, and to start conversations about where the clothes we wear come from, and what their cost really is. At Selvedge I manage the blog and weekly newsletter. If you'd like to contribute to our blog, please contact me with your ideas. You can find our blog guidelines here.
