This Cushion cover is part of our Unfolding Collection. A collection which was inspired by the growing and unfolding plants in the garden outside our workshop. The concept of 'unfolding' further led us to imagine and investigate how we would like to grow and unfold as both individuals and as a business.
The product is made by our team of 21 women, using the batik technique. Our waxers paint on melted wax to block out areas of the fabric for dye not to penetrate. The fabric then moves to the colourhouse where the dye is mixed and applied to the product, before it is sewn by our seamstresses.
