Description (story of the item):
The bold design of the Timket shawl reflects traditional patterns and designs found mostly in the southern parts of Ethiopia. Using a black warp with richly dyed weft results in a stunning shawl that will make the wearer stand out in a crowd.
Woven on traditional looms using bamboo reeds, it is a favourite to produce by our weavers. These shawls use the famous Ethiopian “tibeb” weaving technique to develop the geometric patterns in this bright, modern shawl. The combination of hand spun Ethiopian cotton and light, machine-spun cotton makes the Timket a perfect shawl for autumn and winter. Product will be shipped within 4 weeks of order placement.
