Description (story of the item):
Hand woven with damask loom, where you pull up the pattern shafts to build the motif. In the surface you see the different shades of grey horse tail. It´s very slowly to weave horse hair, max 4 cm / hour. You put every horse hair by hand to the shed and must keep an eye, which way you put the straw, every second in different direction.
Materials:
Hand woven with damask loom, warp black cotton yarn, weft Finnish grey horse hair. Lining is of black silk fabric. Handles are braided horse hair.
