This product is made by local craftswomen in a small town in south of Armenia where Goris Women’s Development Resource Center Foundation is operating. The foundation creates job opportunities for unemployed and socially vulnerable women, teaches local crafts, develops Armenian traditional crafts and offer innovative solutions.
Handspun threads from local sheep wool in natural wool shades (without dyeing) and dyed with natural dyes, plants and roots using the Armenian traditional dyeing methods. The threads are made of natural sheep. The thread is spun by local craftswomen in our workshop using local natural wool with traditional methods, then it dyed with natural dyes, plants and roots. Threads are handspun by using 100% natural sheep wool and natural dyeings of plants and roots, using Armenian traditional methods of dyeing
