Description (story of the item): This product is made of handloom with extra weft technique. This is a shawl made of Eri silk of Assam which has thermal qualities. The weaver has naturally dyed the product at home with the help of onion peel, wild flower and harda. This product is made by an artisan named Dipika Kakoti who lives in the banks of the mighty Brahmaputra river in Assam at a village named Sapathuri. The special features of the product include: the motifs and Eri handspan, they are also natural dye products and environmentally sustainable products
Originated: Eri silk originated in Assam. They are silks which last a lifetime and are known for the exceptional qualities. It takes 10- 12 days to make this product.
