Description (story of the item):
Classic collared jacket, three-quarter sleeves, quilted between layers of handwoven silk organza and cotton which lends a unique texture. Front open with a buttoned placket with handmade buttons for closure. It has a centre back slit for comfort and ease, and side pockets.
This upcycled garment is made of discarded yarns that come out of the process of Bandhani (traditional Indian tie & dye technique).
The visual language is inspired by an impressionist painting by Claude Monet titled ‘The Japanese Bridge’, and is our representation of the same.
Each piece is designed and executed in the studio. The product is hand composed, hand and machine quilted. Any irregularities only add to the beauty of this unique textile.
