Introducing the Loop 20th Anniversary Knitting Kit: A Collaboration with Sophie Ochera.

To mark their 20th anniversary, Loop are thrilled to launch a very special knitting kit in collaboration with the talented designer Sophie Ochera.

Known for her thoughtful, contemporary knitwear and her incredible sense of colour, Sophie has turned her ‘Original Sweater’ which was previously a machine knit created in her studio in France, into a hand-knit sweater pattern for Loop, using yarns inspired by their signature vintage colour palette.

This celebratory kit features a curated selection of exquisite yarns spun at John Arbon Textiles, a British mill in Devon renowned for its craftsmanship and sustainable practices. The kit includes a rich array of colours—both full skeins and mini skeins—perfectly chosen to bring Sophie’s design to life.

With a PDF pattern included in the kit and a special Loop crossbody project bag specially illustrated by artist Tabby Booth to commemorate this milestone.

Launching this September as part of their 20th Anniversary festivities, Loop are overjoyed to  include this as part of Selvedge magazine’s Textile Month. The kit is a heartfelt celebration of creativity, community, and the joy of making.

As part of the ongoing celebrations, Sophie Ochera will be visiting Loop in November to teach workshops on knitting her new sweater design—an exciting opportunity to learn directly from the designer and connect with fellow knitters.
