The women shepherd the sheep, cut their wool twice a year, card the wool and spin with the “malacate”(pre-Hispanic tool).
Dye the black thread under an ancestral dyeing process. It is with “ ik'al lum “ clay, a ferruginous clay that they hand around
their house, and they dye the threads of this cushion, giving it subtle shades of black.
