One-of-a-kind dress by Somporn Intaraprayong and her team of seamstresses in Thailand. Hand embroidered like an abstract view of the Milky Way, on machine sewn cotton structure.
Bust 130 cm. Length 113 cm.
Materials all from Thailand or surrounding countries. The core group of seamstresses are in Takhli, Thailand, but there are other groups sewing in Bangkok, North Thailand as well as Northeast Thailand.
All clothes begin with cloth that is rare or made in a unique traditional way. We cut as little as possible while still aiming to be stylish, and save and recycle every cut scrap. Some of the clothes are repurposed from old, worn, or damaged clothes.
