The Bloomsbury set were a group of British intellectuals, writers and artists who lived, worked or studied near Bloomsbury, London in the first half of the 20th century.
One of the most famous members was Virginia Woolf the writer and sister of Vanessa Bell. Here Virginia is featured in two outfits. The first, a brown, lace-trimmed dress with daring red tights. An captured in the painting by Vanessa Bell for the front cover of Virginia’s book, Mrs Dalloway. The Second, in a floral dress with lace shawl.
