A place for the upper echelons of 18th century society, The Assembly Rooms in Bath was home to elite soirees in its day. This was a building of opulence, where guests gathered to drink tea, play cards and to dance the night away with live music. Designed by John Wood, the building was purpose-built to indulge the extravagant social lives of the upper classes.

The team behind the cult magazine Selvedge bring a curated collection of fifty merchants and makers to Bath. Our exhibitors sell a range of rare vintage fabrics, covetable haberdashery and skilfully handmade textile treasures. The fair offers the perfect opportunity to meet makers, catch up with old friends and pick up that special something. Please note entry after 1pm will be quieter than entry at the start of the day.

Relax with a cup of tea and a delicious lunch in the Assembly Rooms Café or take a tour of Bath's fashion museum which is housed in the Assembly Rooms. They have several exhibitions running whilst The Selvedge Fair is on and entry to the museum will give you access to all of these exhibitions. Entry for a single adult is £9.50.

The Assembly Rooms are a 20 min walk from Bath Spa station. Parking: the nearest pay and display car park is in Charlotte Street. There is little to no on street parking in the streets closest to The Assembly Rooms, so it's best to use park and ride or one of Bath's car parks.

From London: Trains go direct to Bath Spa from London Paddington and take between 1h 24m and 1h 46m.
