Spain, Inés RiR Diseño / Inés Rodríguez, Los Fueguitos Blanket in Blue
Los fueguitos , these blankets are inspired by story "Un mar de Fueguitos Eduardo Galeano from his book" Los abrazos.
In it he tells us that:
“Each person shines with his own light among all the others.
There are not two equal fires.
There are big fires and small fires
and fires of all colors.
There are people of serene fire who do not even notice the wind,
and people of mad fire that fill the air with sparks.
Some fires, silly fires, do not light or burn;
but others, others burn their lives so eagerly
that you can't look at them without blinking,
and whoever approaches, lights up. "
These unique blankets, like people, symbolize the passion for life, and the authenticity that each one of us possesses.
Each one is different, because different people are from each other. They are also made with a technique that is performed only on our looms, with a wool spun en boucle, they are thinned when weaving, generating small "hearts" that protrude from the base fabric. The materials are merino wool combined with other high quality yarns, such as mohair and wool mixed with silk, which makes them a luxury product to enjoy in your home. These handmade pieces are made in different colors combined because, as in the poem, people identify with different colors that define them.
Its process is slow since each one of them takes more than 40 hours to weave, it is a process that is also done with all the affection in our manual looms.
