Sonia Sola is a biodynamic farmer who practices regenerative farming; her main interests are producing nutrient dense foods, natural medicines and sustainable clothing and accessories. In 2002, Sonia moved to the countryside where she and her partner started Nectar Hills Farm; a diversified socially responsible farm that focuses on certified biodynamic produce, grass fed meats, and natural fibres.
Sonia's Her work emphasises handwork and the use of raw materials that mainly come from her farm. Sonia aims to reconnect with her ancestors: craftsmen/women that were close to the land and capable of making the necessary things for the day to day living, and with their own hands create items full of beauty and soul. It is Sonia's desire to connect Farm to Textile, Farm to Table, and Farm to Health.
Sonia designs and crafts one of a kind goods for comfort, warmth, and embellishment. All of her pieces are made out of the natural fibres grown and produced at Nectar Hills Farms (typically, wool and sheepskins) and are sometimes paired with textiles she collects from Japan and Indigenous cultures across the globe that inspire and attract her.
