Description: The Siamese Cat, was a gift for Barbara. It was brought from Bangkok to Colombo. A pet in her home and the inspiration for this design.
A reddha* are woven compositions that look lovely hung on a wall. Do use a reddha in any way you might wish. Try it as a shawl, a throw to keep you warm, a bedspread, a table cloth. The development of a Reddha takes time. It begins with an idea. The colours and the precise design are then transferred to a piece of graph paper, the different counts of yarn are dyed to the exact colours needed. Lastly, the designer and weaver work together to make the final composition. The weaving of a Reddha might take two or more days, Although, the preparation takes much longer.
Materials: 100% cotton, hand woven and hank dyed. Mixed counts of yarn.
