Sallie is The Urban Acres's founder, designer, and Chief Crafting Officer. The Urban Acres started in 2019, and what began as a "side hustle" soon took off to become a full-time gig as Sallie supplied what felt like the entire world with the creative hobby of Punch Needle 2020. Sallie loves teaching people how to create things using a punch needle, especially since this craft has been meaningful to her. 

Meet the Maker event description

Part of a series of Meet the Maker sessions that will give you a short introduction to textile makers and designers. The event will include a talk and demonstration with Sallie of Urban Acres. The session will introduce you to her practice and proposed activity for the upcoming Spring Punch Needle with Sallie of the Urban Acres, which will be held on Saturday, 1 June 2024. There will be time for questions at the end of her talk.
