The artist behind Translate is the master weaver Kongari Srinivas. He has been working with ikat since he was 15 years old with his parents. He is an expert in making Double ikat patterns, which are very complicated and requires a lot of precision and experience. His wife and son also help him in the production process. His son is following in his footpath, a graduate who has decided to learn the craft from his father and take it forward. Along with his family, Translate also work with other artisans–Mr.Saidulu, Mr.Senu, Mr.Sudakar, and Mr.Venkatesh.
