Vietnam, Kilomet109, A Pao Jacket
This is a modern twist on a traditional H'mong men’s jacket. The cotton fibers are handwoven using a traditional foot loom and display the exquisite weaving skills of Vietnam's Nùng An artisans. The fabric is dipped multiple times in indigo dye to create a beautifully even and deep blue color. The cotton weaving and indigo dyeing of the Nùng An is considered a wonderful example of Vietnam's refined traditional craft heritage.
The Jacket is designed and handmade at Kilomet109's home atelier. There are a number of subtle contemporary details that have been incorporated into the design including hand knot buttons, bright orange hand embroidery on cuffs and side slits, and a concealed chest pen pocket. This jacket is a harmonious blend of contemporary design and traditional craftsmanship.
100% Hand woven cotton. Indigo dye by Nùng An artisans. Highlighted by contrasting orange stitching and a comfortable fitted cut. This jacket looks just as good worn over a t-shirt or a nice dress shirt, for flexible styling. Please note the organic dye ensures the color will mature and soften naturally over time.
