Win an Asiatica’s “Jackie Jacket”
Kansas City-based Asiatica was founded by Elizabeth Wilson forty-five years ago.
The atelier’s signature look marries vintage Japanese kimono textiles with timeless clothing designs. Asiatica’s “Jackie Jacket” is made using its “raw-pieced” technique. Wilson's team of creatives constructed the fabric from scraps of vintage Japanese ivory linen ikats by attaching them to a habutai silk backing using parallel rows of stitching. They then washed the new fabric before laying it out and cutting the jacket.
