Zambia & France, Tribal Textiles, Tablecloth Feather Red
Type of product: Tablecloth / Meterage
Description (story of the item):
Handmade and hand painted, this tablecloth is inspired by the gentle feathers left behind by one of our most common birds here in the South Luangwa National Park, the Guinea fowl. This tablecloth is perfect for those looking for a subtle addition to their dining room table that illustrates the true beauty of African wildlife.
Note that you can also use this piece as meterage for any DIY activity, you will simply need to unhem it.
Using our signature crackle technique (from the starch resist technique), this tablecloth is hand drawn and hand painted on durable cotton. Decorated with inspired design and vibrant red hues, it is sure to add a pop of color and texture to any interior.
While the design and technique are the same, each artisan has his own way of starching and balancing colors, making each piece unique in its own special way.
Besides being unique in terms of technique, our hand-painted process is also thoughtfully sustainable. Each of our products is made by hand with respect for the environment and people. From design to production, we minimize our environmental impact by sourcing locally, using sustainable materials, and repurposing waste.
