Aloka - Seeking Potential in Existing Resources
Aloka is dedicated to discovering the potential in existing resources to create strikingly beautiful, well-crafted home products. Their quilts, made from layers of saris hand-stitched 60 to 80 years ago in India, are carefully selected for their material quality and design. After being shampooed, softened, and dyed in India, the vintage textiles are transformed into coordinated sets of pillows and custom cushions at Aloka's studio in Atlanta.
Focused on connection and comfort, Aloka’s team—a small group of artists and textile enthusiasts—celebrates the inherent beauty of the quilts in their original form. They are also passionate about revitalising them with custom and natural overdyes. Even the smallest remnants are valued and crafted into complementary products, reflecting the team's deep care for both the craft and the planet.

Their new line of benches and stools provide timeless designs upholstered in Aloka's one-of-a-kind vintage Kantha quilts and coverlets that really define a new mood-of-the-moment: high note craft.
