How long will it take for my order to arrive?
Delivery dates vary depending on the product ordered. Here is a guide for delivery times:
If you ordered a digital download of an issue, the link will be sent to you within 72 hours of your order. Please contact support@selvedge.org if it hasn't arrived in your inbox by then. Please do also check your spam/promotions.
Print issues and Selvedge goods are sent by standard second class/international post for which we advise the delivery to the UK can take up to 14 days, Europe up to 21 days and Rest of World up to 28 days. However, these are estimates only and world events can cause additional delays. In-transit tracking is not available. Orders of six of more magazines are sent via a tracked service.
If you have pre-ordered an upcoming issue then please note that our digital publishing date is the 15th, and print issues are posted out by the 20th of each publishing month; February, May, June, August, October and December.
My Selvedge issue has not arrived or arrived damaged, what should I do?
Please email support@selvedge.org if your magazine order has not arrived to a UK address by 14 working days, a EU address by 21 working days or a Rest of the World address by 28 working days and we will investigate further for you. Our policy is to send a replacement magazine once 30 days has passed from the date of shipping. If your magazine arrives damaged please notify support@selvedge.org ASAP detailing the damage and include a photograph wherever possible. A replacement copy will be sent you once the claim has been investigated.
We will deliver the magazines to the address you provide when you placed your order. We will not be responsible for failure to deliver the magazines if you have supplied us with an incorrect address. We reserve the right to dispose of incorrectly addressed envelopes and their contents without an obligation to refund you, if they are returned to us and if after reasonable efforts to contact you, we do not receive correct address details. If you are a subscriber to the magazine, a change of address notification must be made before the next issue is released to ensure it is delivered to your new address (15th February, 15th April, 15th June, 15th August, 15th October and 15th December). We are not obliged to send out a complimentary replacement issue if you did not notify us of a change of address in time, instead, you'd be charged for another copy.
Delay in delivery and non-delivery
We will not be liable to you for any delay in delivery or non-delivery of magazines in the following circumstances:
- Where the issuer of your payment card refuses to authorise payment.
- Where such delay or failure is due to circumstances beyond our control or the control of our subcontractors and agents, including but not restricted to war, electricity power failure, utility failure, failure of telecommunications links, failure of transport infrastructure, fire, flood, government act, an act of God, legislative constraints, strikes, labour disputes or malicious damage involving employees.
I have booked onto a Selvedge event but can no longer attend, what do I do?
All event bookings are non-refundable. However, if you let us know that you are unable to attend an event you have booked at least two weeks before the event, we will open up your place. If we find another participant, you will be offered a credit note. Workshop Cancellation Policy
All workshop bookings are non-refundable.
The Selvedge bookstore
Please note that the books advertised on our website can sometimes be a mixture of new books and used. We will always ensure used books are of an agreeable standard for purchase. Should you have any questions concerning any of our books in our bookstore please contact Miko Takama our bookstore manager via email at shop@selvedge.org
Other Selvedge goods
Print on demand items such as Calendars, Greetings Cards and magnets are often produced by third party suppliers so please allow for varying timeframes for their delivery. For further enquiries on your order of any of the above items please contact support@selvedge.org or consult the page from where you placed your specific order.
For orders of Artisan products please refer to the individual product page on the website for delivery estimates. These are sent directly to the artisans themselves to fulfil - we do not stock these items ourselves - and you can find the full Ts&Cs for these here. Will I have to pay customs charges?
Your country may levy import charges depending on the country of origin, and the product being imported.
Right to refuse orders
We reserve the right to cancel orders in the following circumstances:
- In the event of obvious inaccuracies in prices, we may fulfil your order at the correct price.
- If we are unable to obtain payment authorisation from the issuer of your payment card.
- If the order has been flagged as a possible fraudulent transaction.
