This September 2024, OM is teaming up with Sarah James MBE of Gŵyl Crefft Cymru // Craft Festival Wales. Together, they have partnered with venues throughout the town of Cardigan to curate a contemporary Craft Trail that will showcase new work from six talented makers, each invited to respond to artworks from the National Contemporary Art Gallery of Wales. The commissioned work encompasses a diverse array of artistic mediums, including ceramics, textiles, brush making, and willow weaving, to reinterpret eminent artworks from the national collections.

As part of Craft Festival Wales and in association with Oriel Myrddin, these six exciting early career artists were selected to respond to artworks from the National Contemporary Art Gallery of Wales. With support from Welsh Government funding, we aim to make these valued collections (held by National Museum Wales and National Library of Wales) more accessible and engaging for all.
