Pantone Colour of 2024: Peach Fuzz
Colour specialist Pantone has announced Peach Fuzz as its 2024 colour of the year, a subtle orangey hue that was chosen to express a yearning for community and cosiness during uncertain times.
Pantone 13-1023 Peach Fuzz was described by the Pantone Colour Institute as "softly nestled between pink and orange".
Pantone is best known for its colour-matching system, created in the 1960s, that numbers and organises hues with a distinct chip format. The company also runs the Pantone Colour Institute, which selects the colour of the year and conducts colour trend forecasting research.
This year’s choice “echoes our innate yearning for closeness and connection,” says Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Colour Institute, in a statement.
“We chose a colour radiant with warmth and modern elegance,” she adds. “A shade that resonates with compassion, offers a tactile embrace and effortlessly bridges the youthful with the timeless.”
