Alice Caroline is a Liberty fabric specialist with over 600 fabrics in their online store based in the Cotswolds. As well as a huge choice of fabrics, they also sell a wide range of sewing kits including quilts, cushions, bags plus lots more. Alice Caroline love a rainbow and so many of their designs, including their Dresden Plate Rainbow Quilt are based around a beautiful rainbow of Liberty fabric colours.
We’re so pleased that Alice Caroline have kindly donated the Over the Rainbow Full Quilt Kit as a prize for our 12 Days of Christmas prize draw. The kit includes all of the fabrics needed to make the full quilt kit - comprising 144 beautiful Liberty Tana Lawn® fabrics. They will also provide the backing and binding fabric (to be chosen by the winner) and an English Paper piecing equipment box to include Sewline glue pen, thread magic, thread box and needles. The quilt is made using a combination of EPP (English Paper Piecing) and machine sewing. The slow process of EPP is a really fun way to get into sewing and could be for a beginner or an experienced sewer.
Liberty fabric lends itself so well to this as the beautiful designs and colours are of an exceptional quality. They are also increasingly obsessed with EPP (English Paper Piecing) and have projects for all ranges including a great EPP starter kit. Alice Garrett, the owner and inspiration behind Alice Caroline loves to design new sewing patterns and enjoys the creative process of using the wonderful palette of patterns and colours that Liberty has to offer.
