12 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS: SKINNY LAMINX
All of us at Selvedge envy the lucky winner of a vibrant and colourful kitchen bundle which was kindly donated by Skinny laMinx as part of our 12 Days of Christmas 2021 prize draw.
Skinny laMinx started in 2008 when Heather Moore could no longer contain her enthusiasm for pattern and colour. She began designing and hand printing products in a small studio, and gave the business the nickname of her skinny little Siamese cat Monkey. The contemporary graphic shapes in gorgeously simple colours are simple, elegant and effortlessly stylish.
She started selling her clean, midcentury-inspired screenprinted textiles online, using her blog to develop a devoted fan base in South Africa and abroad. These days, Skinny laMinx products are shipped across the globe. Still, the business remains small and resolutely local, with all production based in South Africa. All Skinny laMinx products are professionally screenprinted in South Africa on natural fibre fabrics, and stitched by a seamstress team in the studio above their shop. Despite the clear Scandi vibe of the brand, there’s an unmistakable current of vibrant African chic, which makes for an irresistable combination.
We have an entire Skinny laMinx Kitchen Bundle to give away, including apron, soft bucket, napkins , oven gloves, tea towels, and tablecloth.
