12 Days of Christmas: Volga Linen
Until Thursday 19th December, we will feature a different competition prize on the blog every day, it's Selvedge's 12 Days of Christmas. You have until 6pm GMT on 19th December to enter all the competitions. Today, we feature Volga Linen which is offering Selvedge readers the chance to win a Volga Linen merino wool and linen throw worth £334.
Volga Linen is a heritage-rich business that produces pure linen in Russia and Europe. Initiated out of a curiosity to unearth her family lineage in Russia, Volga founder Theresa Tollemache discovered an ancient industry of flax production, and so Volga was born.
The Volga collections include fabric, bed linen and table linen. Based in England, Volga collaborates with linen experts across Europe, as well as groups of highly skilled women in Russia to achieve linen finishing of unparalleled quality.
Volga’s fabric is distinguished by a vibrant colour palette and includes plain weaves, stripes and a printed linen collection that nods to Volga’s unique Russian heritage. These whimsical printed linens originate from Volga’s archive of hand crafted 17th and 18th century block prints.
Known for its sumptuous bed linen, Volga can be found in the world’s most prestigious hotels; from Hotel Astoria in St Petersburg to The Wild Rabbit, in the Cotswolds, Oxfordshire. The company's luxurious made-to-order bed linen is embroidered by hand with diamond and hem stitch drawn thread work.

Stunning photos that lead me farther into a study of the Company VOLGA and their work – beautifully executed linen is a treasure and I see it here. Fascinated by the length on the table in the woodland.
