A Letter From The Editor
Dear Selvedge Readers,
May I take this opportunity to wish you all a very Happy New Year and to thank you for your continued support. 2018 will be a year of change at Selvedge as the lease on our beloved shop has come to an end. After a wonderful ten years we will close the shutters at 162 Archway Road for the last time on Saturday 3rd of February. During the last decade the shop has witnessed the continued growth of the magazine, welcomed visitors from all corners of the globe, seen the growth of our fairs and launched a successful programme of workshops. For the foreseeable future Selvedge will be based at 14 Milton Park, Highgate N6 5QA while we look for new premises with more workshop space. The publication schedule of the magazine will not be affected by the move and the telephone number will remain the same. We are of course always delighted to meet our lovely readers, so please do drop by if you are in the area, we just ask that you call ahead. Our workshops will continue as scheduled, and will be hosted by The Art Workers Guild at 6 Queen Square Bloomsbury, London WC1N 3AT until further notice.
Over the last decade we have acquired a lovely collection of antique shop fitting and these are now available for purchase. If you're interested in acquiring some of these lovely pieces, please email editor@selvedge.org.
With best wishes for 2018,
Polly Leonard.

I visited the shop several years ago when I was staying in London and I remember it fondly I for one I sorry to see it go but a new place will also be great. Keep up the wonderful work with the magazine I find it very informative and enjoyable. It’s so pleasing that fiber work is still alive and creative in this age of mass produced and poorly constructed garments.
