All The President's Textiles
When Ann Dunham, President Obama’s mother, lived in Indonesia with her son, she began gathering batik fabrics that were indigenous to the culture. Her collection of batiks has been on a national tour this summer and will culminate in a two-week display at The Textile Museum, Washington, DC. A Lady Found a Culture in Its Cloth: Barack Obama’s Mother and Indonesian Batiks will run from August 9 through 23.

I’ve visited The Textile Museum in Washington – it is a small but wonderful place in which to exhibit.
If anyone is going to see Obama’s Mother’s Batiks please report back her – thanks – Jill
I have not received my Sept/Oct issue yet, I know they were late for delivery but I thought it would have been delivered by now.
Thanks
