Stop Press: Selvedge Winter Fair – Change of Date and Venue
IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
An important update his update for all who plan to join us for this year’s Selvedge Winter Fair.
Due to a burst water main in Marylebone on Thursday, 25 September, the area around Enford Street and York Street suffered severe flooding, leaving many residents and local buildings affected — including St. Mary’s Bryanston Square, our long-standing Winter Fair venue.
We have therefore had to make a last-minute change of date and venue for this year’s Fair. Please see the message below from Selvedge Founder, Polly Leonard:
Dear Selvedge Community,
I hope you are all well. I am writing to share some news. You may have seen in the press that a burst water main occurred in Marylebone on Thursday, September 25. The ensuing flood has badly damaged St Mary's Bryanston Square, the venue for the Selvedge Winter Fair 2025. The church will be closed for the next six months.
The event will now take place on Sunday, 23 November, between 11:00 am and 5:00 pm at the Royal Horticultural Halls, 80 Vincent Square, London, SW1P 2PE.
The Royal Horticultural Halls offer a spacious venue characterised by its Edwardian features and stunning glass-vaulted ceiling. Located in the heart of Westminster, just off a quiet leafy square, and within walking distance of Victoria Station, St James's Park, and Pimlico underground stations. There is free parking in the surrounding streets on Sundays.
We are looking forward to seeing you all there, and thank you for your support in relocating this much-loved event.

Inside the Royal Horticultural Society's Lindley Hall, this year's new venue for the Selvedge Winter Fair
The Royal Horticultural Halls provide a beautiful new home for the Fair this year — an elegant Edwardian building first opened in 1904, with an abundance of natural light flooding through its magnificent glass ceiling. Within the same building, visitors can also explore the RHS Lindley Library, home to world-renowned collections of rare and modern horticultural books, botanical art, and historical archives. There is free parking available in the surrounding streets, and plenty of cafés nearby for a refreshment break.
As ever, the Selvedge Winter Fair will feature around 90 talented merchants and makers, offering rare vintage fabrics, covetable haberdashery, and beautifully crafted textile treasures — the perfect opportunity to find unique gifts and meet the artisans behind them. In addition, since the new space at Royal Horticultural Hall is much larger than St. Mary's, we have now reopened applications to exhibit. If you are an artisan who interested in taking part, please contact Ashna on events@selvedge.org, or follow the link HERE.

We would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank all of the Selvedge Winter Fair exhibitors who have been so understanding and accommodating regarding this change. Our thoughts are also with the Marylebone community and our neighbours at St. Mary’s who have been so badly affected by the flooding. We thank everyone for their understanding and continued support, and we can’t wait to welcome you all to Lindley Hall on Sunday, 23 November.
