Cambridge Imprint at Selvedge

We love our new Christmas window display - thank you to Cambridge Imprint for coming in and making such an original set.

Come and visit us on Thursday 8 December, when Cambridge Imprint will demonstrate making 5-pointed double-sided origami stars and will provide a range of patterned papers and colour schemes to choose from.

This is a slightly tricky origami which requires a number of repetitions before it becomes second nature. The 5 pointed origami star is a perfect origami – once constructed it is robust, durable and exquisite, making a perfect year-round window-sill sculpture as well as an appropriate festive decoration that can be hung from the tree, strung together into garlands, or used to decorate presents and the table.

The aim will be for each person to make ten stars to take home with them, and they will also receive a Star Garland Kit to take home with the papers and instructions make a further 36 stars.
