Carpet Diem: A Textile Labyrinth in Paris
This October, Paris will witness a celebration of contemporary textile artistry as Carpet Diem returns for its third edition. From 23–26 October 2025, Espace Commines in the heart of the Marais will transform into a mesmerising labyrinth where rugs and tapestries take centre stage during Art Basel and Design Miami week.
Conceived and curated by Paris-based Italian Francesco Pirrello, Carpet Diem represents a bold reimagining of how we perceive and experience textile art. "I love rugs," Pirrello declares, "and I think they are a little forgotten." His vision challenges the traditional decorative role of carpets, elevating them to protagonists in their own right — hung on walls like paintings and discovered one by one as visitors navigate the carefully constructed maze.

The event's scenography, once again designed by renowned scenographer Hervé Sauvage, will present 40 exceptional rugs and tapestries from both established brands and independent artists spanning 12 countries.
