After two years of not being held physically, the Contemporary Textiles Fair at the Landmark Arts Centre is finally opening its doors once again. Bringing together over 45 talented textile artists, designers, and makers, the fair provides a platform for contemporary textiles whether as art or craft. Visitors will find a wonderful array of interior textiles from cushions and rugs to lampshades and tea towels; alongside hand-stitched artworks for the wall and hand-crafted sculptural pieces, as well as handmade clothing and accessories, from knitted shawls and naturally dyed silk scarves, to screen-printed jackets and woven bags.

A dedicated segment of the fair called Raw Fibres supports and showcases a selection of the best new UK textile artists; providing a platform for graduates, students, and fledgling maker-businesses to promote and sell their work to collectors, enthusiasts, and local visitors alike. Raw Fibres gives them space to launch their work into the textile art world, meet fellow artists and designers and give them advice and encouragement to move their practice forward. The Landmark has expanded Raw Fibres to 7 artists in 2022 to make up for the lack of opportunities that emerging artists and makers have had in the past few years to exhibit and sell their work.

Artists include Marsh & Moor (Maria Barbu) a London based textile artist and keen environmentalist who works with regeneratively farmed fibres and natural dyes to create one-of-a-kind handwoven items, and Nerissa Cargill Thompson an artist who makes sculptural artworks that highlight the issue of plastic pollution by combining embroidery with concrete cast in waste packaging and litter.
