Exhibitions Selvedge shows and workshops

Sally Weatherill's woven designs are often inspired directly by the yarns she uses. Her fabrics – used for scarves, ties, cushions, handbags and wall pieces – are all handmade in the UK in limited editions. Key to her design process is a love of colour and experimentation – particularly with the selvedge of the fabric. iooo Sally Weatherill's designs are testimony to the importance of thoughtful production by hand. Fabric1 Made In Clerkenwell: Winter open studios at Craft Central will bring together Sally Weatherill and over 100 other designer-makers who appreciate the value of the handmade and considered design. Fabric2 Craft Central provides studio space and a community for designers, many of whom specialise in textiles. Twice a year it opens the doors, giving people the rare opportunity to see 'behind the scenes' and explore the designers' workshops. One ticket allows unlimited access over 4 days, including Thursday’s launch event and Friday’s late night shopping. madebyhandonline_Sally_Weatherill_handmade_scarves-0x800 Twice a year, Craft Central opens the doors to its two fascinating Victorian buildings. Follow the links below for more information on the upcoming shows: Made In Clerkenwell: Winter Open Studios,  26-29 November 2015   FAIRblogbanner
