ETHER: A COLLABORATIVE TEXTILE INSTALLATION
Textile designers and painters, Melina Finkelstein (Oakland, CA) and Sayali Goyal (Delhi, India) are proud to announce, Ether, a collaborative textile installation and conversation at the Melina Finkelstein Gallery until Saturday 29 September 2023.
“Energy forms the basis of human life and the cosmos while also serving as a bridge between the worldly and divine realms. In the ever-changing world, the fusion and balance of energies have been central to creation and existence. Human creativity and design decisions too, are consciously rooted in this harmony and thus, adopt the characteristics of nature – a timeless connection between the intangible and the tangible. Ether puts light on these symbolic and highly valued aspects of human consciousness and spiritual experiences. Both artist’s explore form, materials, textures, and aesthetics as an attempt towards blurring the boundaries between the real and the abstract.” -Sayali Goyal
