It's a sailor's life in the Selvedge window
The handcrafted, characterful work- dubbed ‘Craftydermy’- of textile artist Emma Cocker is being exhibited in the Selvedge window this month. Emma produced the carefully-sewn seaside scene using her specialised knowledge of antique, vintage and reclaimed textiles, as well as their combination. She utilises these fabrics to enhance the charming nature of the characters she depicts. While her pieces are not intended to be toys, they will without doubt capture the interest of children.
Emma Cocker's work will be on display until 1st August 2014.
