Join us at the Chateau this summer...

Selvedge is off to the Chateau Dumas in the south of France this summer. Places on our Block Printing workshop, 23-30 August 2014 sold out swiftly but a last minute place has just become available. The week-long course offers a rare opportunity to learn from two leaders in their field. Under Cameron Short’s guidance you’ll learn to design and hand-cut with lino and block-print onto French linen. Denise Lambert will also be joining us to reveal the magical properties of woad, the natural blue dye popular in Europe during medieval times. For your week at the Chateau, you will stay in Renée, a beautiful twin room (pictured above) overlooking the courtyard garden and rolling fields to the left. Throughout the week delicious, traditional French cuisine will be prepared by the Chateau's chef, Charlotte Clement.
