London Craft Week: Hats Off
Another exciting event taking place during London Craft Week: London’s top milliners have come together for the second edition of Unveiled – the Craft of Millinery, an elaborate and intriguing exhibition to reveal the mysteries and artistry of millinery.
The exhibition is co-curated by three internationally acclaimed milliners: Noel Stewart, who regularly collaborates with leading fashion designers such as Erdem and Valentino; Rachel Trevor-Morgan whose hats were worn by Emilia Fox, Paloma Faith, and is warrant holder to HM The Queen; and Edwina Ibbotson, whose clients include JK Rowling, Pippa Middleton and Ellie Goulding.
As well as the displays by each of the 14 milliners showing, the three-day programme includes masterclasses, talks, and a gallery workroom where visitors will be able to watch milliners at work throughout the day.
Unveiled – the Craft of Millinery is being staged with the support of Fenwick and The Worshipful Company of Feltmakers. The exhibition itself and the programme of talks and demonstrations are being hosted by The Art Workers Guild in their beautiful Georgian townhouse in Queen’s Square, Bloomsbury.
