The next MADE Makers goes online from 5 – 6 September 2020. MADE Makers is an online craft and design fair for British makers by Tutton & Young. The first edition was held in June, in response to event cancellations and gallery closures. Over the weekend, the show generated more than £40,000 in sales for artists affected by the pandemic. 15% of sales was donated between three charities – Refuse, Mind and Crafts Council – to support the important work that these charities undertook in the face of lockdown. Now a monthly online event, MADE Makers is an opportunity for artists to increase their brand awareness and engagement on a regular basis, to potential customers all over the world. Visitors can expect to find limited edition pieces, one-off collectables and even some discounts, all from the comfort of home.

Visit to buy handcrafted ceramics, jewellery, textiles, furniture and more from 101 contemporary British makers, when the sales goes live at 9am BST on 5 September. Visitors to the website can access the online galleries for free and over the weekend a series of Instagram Live events will cover artist talks and studio tours. Talking about previous events, maker Lauren Bell-Brown says: “Online events are vital to makers. Craft fairs and art shows are intrinsic to an independent maker’s income. With every physical event cancelled for the foreseeable future, online events are a way for us all to come together and show off our latest work to a new audience. These events make my work more accessible and widen my potential customer base, as travel and time aren’t an issue.”

“MADE Makers will focus a hungry audience on the mass of creativity that has been going on behind closed doors. The extra time that many of us have found has led to an explosion of new ideas. I will use the event to launch a 2020 collection and kickstart hopefully busy Autumn/Winter sales.” – Victoria Richards.
