Première Vision, the textile and clothing trade show company, has announced a new competition for final year fashion and textile students, the NextGen Awards, to celebrate creativity and innovation. Students must enter via their school and the deadline for school registration is 15 March 2020.
A jury of influential international fashion figures will choose 20 finalists to take solo stands at the NextGen Awards Première Vision Village as part of Première Vision Paris in September 2020. There will be a Grand Jury Prize for the most outstanding textile creation consisting of 1,500 euros and presence at the Première Vision NYC show, including travel and accommodation.
There are four additional prizes, with an award of 1,000 euros each: Handle Prize: for the textile creation with the most astonishing tactile and behavioural qualities, those with the strongest emotional impact; Imagination Prize, for the boldest, most original textile creation in terms of decoration, technique, finishing, innovation and technology; Colour Prize, for the best use of colour whether in print, weave, knit, mixed media and Interiors Prize, for the best fabric design for interiors. Première Vision Paris will promote each of the winners' work to the whole Première Vision online and show community.
