The Selvedge 2020 calendar
The Selvedge calendar features 12 beautiful textiles inspired by the pages of the magazine. For example, in February we celebrate darning samplers from The Netherlands, which were used to teach girls the useful skill of mending worn household textiles. In July we feature a tent handing from the The Tentmakers of Cairo. Their ancestors made the majestic traveling tents of the Ottoman Empire, and today they produce intricate appliquéd textiles that are unique to Egypt. And if you can stand to think that far ahead, December 2020 features the distinctive look of ikat from Uzbekistan.
The Selvedge book shop
On our online store, we sell a curated collection of textile and craft books. Items in the sale include Making the Cut: Stories of Sartorial Icons by Savile Row’s Master Tailor from Thames & Hudson which introduces the traditional craft of cutting a bespoke suit and garments, showcasing twenty-five classic menswear designs that have been creatively adapted in new and unusual ways for the modern gentleman.

Subscriptions
To get the biggest discounts, treat yourself or a friend to a Selvedge subscription. Until the end of January, you can get 20% off a print, digital or gift subscription to the bimonthly Selvedge magazine, for 12 months (six issues) or six months (three issues). Print subscriptions include access to the digital edition and delivery is included in the subscription cost.
